Nothing felt normal. That's what she told Allie when they arrived to the party. Whatever happened before that night didn't matter, it was too late to back down now. No matter what they did that night, she promised Allie she was going to try and relax. Cassie only had Allie now so she was going to try her best.
Cassie told the driver to leave and come back when they sent a message but he had already driven Cassie places and was very fond of her, so he insisted in waiting close by. She smiled at him and waved from the door of the party. As soon as they were inside, she started to feel uncomfortable. It wasn't anything specific, just a feeling of unease.
Allie dragged her to the kitchen, filled new cups with a fruity drink and took her hand to lead the way towards the make shift dance floor. Cassie was going to need a hard drink, so at the first opportunity Allie gave her, she was going to try and find a bottle of whiskey. It wasn't normal for her to doubt her drinking but a tingle in her limbs had her holding back on drinking too much.
They were having fun, as much fun as Cassie allowed herself to have since she was still too wary. Allie looked at her and grinned, getting closer. She placed her hand on Cassie's neck and got even closer, so close Cassie could feel Allie's breath on her. A chill traveled through her back and Cassie didn't like it but couldn't get back. Allie whispered in her ear:
They walked hand in hand to the kitchen area, Allie refilled their cups and made a toast for a great night. Cassie took a long pull of her cup and felt the burn.
Allie took Cassie's hand and almost rushed down the hall to the back yard. Cassie was about to ask Allie to slow down when she felt like her legs were being pulled from under her, making her stumble someone very tall. For some reason her eyes felt heavy and she no longer had Allie's hand in hers but the guy she felt into grabbed her by the arms and took her through an open door. When had a room appeared in their way? What was happening to Cassie?
Next thing she noticed was being placed on a bed. She couldn't close her eyes but they felt clouded, almost as if tears had welled there. She also felt like she was under water, sounds were far and almost muffled.
Cassie smelled him before being able to recognize anything else. She shivered and started to tremble, because now she knew. They hadn't seen him around the party, but if she wasn't looking it must've been easy for Noah to be there unnoticed.
She had no one. She was all alone and no one would be looking for her. This was really happening and she couldn't move, talk or even do anything else but feel. She was going to feel it all. She already knew Noah was big, she would ache for days. And he had also shown a bit of violence with her so nothing was going to stop him this time. This was going to be her fault though. Nobody believed it when she tried to quiet the rumors or when she rejected every advance made to her. This was going to be her fault again.
Cassie could feel Noah's desperation so when the muffled sound of tearing reached her ears, she knew he was closer to what he was looking from her. They all wanted something from her, an exchange had to be made, always. But she was always feeling empty and alone. So much for an exchange, right?
She felt her top ripped open, she hadn't worn a bra so that was one piece of clothing less to shield her and she felt how Noah was trying to get her shorts lowered but was struggling because he was still on top of her. A crash sounded, was that a lamp or something? It didn't matter, no one was looking for her and she heard the click of the lock on the door some time before. She felt his hand nearing her center, probably Noah trying to remove her panties after succeeding with her shorts.
The door flew open, she heard screaming and Noah was pushed off her. She was lifted on strong arms, covered and carried out. She heard sobbing, not knowing if it was her or who else. Little by little her mind started to clear and she felt the familiarity of who was holding her.
It was Sean and Tommy, she was sure Tommy was there too. They all left the party, she guessed with the driver she had hired. She felt ashamed, what was the driver going to think of her? Had someone put her clothes back on? Her eyes finally closed and tiredness took her out. When they got to the hotel, she could hear Allie asking Sean to start a bath while she helped Cassie undress but Sean wasn't letting her go. He started whispering to Cassie while he cradled her body and started rocking them softly. Cassie had her eyes open but still cloudy so she let go. A single tear dropped from her left eye and ran down her cheek until it reached Sean's shoulder. She couldn't talk but she saw Allie coming back from the bathroom with red rimmed eyes, placing a hand on Sean's shoulder as a signal that the bath was ready.
Sean stood with her in his arms and took her to the bathroom. He took what was left of her clothes off, nothing sexual just comforting. He stripped too and sat the both of them inside the tub, scalding water reaching the top of her breasts. Sean helped her lean into his chest and continued to whisper to her. Nonsense at this point, but his voice helped her relax.
Cassie didn't know where they had come from but was gratefull they saved her. She didn't usually need saving, but this time she would be gratefull someone was there for her. It seemed she wasn't alone anymore, as hard as she tried to push them away.
