Hard Times

Reminders for anyone going through a hard time

  • The past can't be changed
  • Opinions don't define your reality
  • Everyone's journey is different, focus on yours
  • Until you heal it, it will hold you hostage
  • Judgements are a confession of character
  • Overthinking will lead to sadness
  • Sustainable happiness is found within
  • Your mentality shapes your reality
  • The present moment is all we ever have
  • Live the present and heal from the past
  • Failure will only be final if you quit
  • The energy you gibe circles back
Tough times do not last an eternity, become tough when you live through one. Keep pushing through and know that you are stronger than you feel during those challenging times.
If you are feeling stressed or don't really know how to pinpoint how you are feeling specifically, here are some prompts that might help you get clarity or at least a start:
  1. How am I feeling physically?
  2. How am I feeling emotionally?
  3. What can I learn from the situation I am in right now?
  4. How do this stressors affect me today? Are they happening on a daily basis?
  5. What are some self-care activities that I think would help? If I've already gone through this, what are some activities that helped in the past?
  6. Did I get upset with myself? Why? What can I say/do to replace the bad feeling with something graceful?
  7. Am I avoiding something? What are those thoughts, actions or emotions? Am I afraid to face them? Why?
  8. Are there any negative thoughts or beliefs that are not helping with the stress? Can I change that?
  9. What are some small changes that I can make to reduce stress?
  10. What are some goals or aspirations that can help me maintain the healing path and not deviate from the reduction of stress path?
